The prideful Veerakanal family has long-lasting roots around the Ancient Palani foot-hills (Adivaram) region for about 5 generations (roughly from the 1850s). This family also had some leaders, serving for the heritage-rich Palani temple Devasthanam and its devotees, by topping the regional democratic elections.

Mr. S. B. Vimalapandian, being the current icon of this family, now has extended their hospitality service and support by establishing a residency venture in the foot-hills of Palani.
